The R2 Rat Cap is a fast and flexible solution for protecting silicon probe implants on rats. It consists of a plastic headplate that is cemented to the skull, leaving the entire top exposed to place multiple implants.

Two side walls hinge to close around the implant after probe insertion, and an optional lid that can be used to close it off. The inside of the cap can be lined with the included conductive tape for electrical isolation. Header pins are included to flexibly position probe connectors inside the cap.

• 1x plastic headplate, side walls, and lid, tapped and with screws

• 2x 30 mm header pins

• 8x 12mm header pins

• 1x strip of conductive copper tape

• 1x 0.05 in Hex key for the cap screws
